For anglers who require many low diameter spools, with the minimum investment, there are also hard shallow plastic spools. If weight is an issue, the Virtuoso Air spool cuts down the weight of any reel. Instead of it being a solid spool, it is built in a cage honeycomb-like structure that dramatically reduces the weight of the spool without compromising on strength.
